Position: Striker

Danny is now in his second spell at Hucknall Town. He began his career with his home town club Mansfield Town making 44 appearances and scoring 4 goals. He then moved on to Hucknall Town in 2003 making 83 appearances and scoring 30 goals. His form at Watnall Road earned him a move back into the professional game with Lincoln City, but he struggled to break into the first team at Sincil Bank, making just two appearances. He was allowed to join Conference side Burton Albion on loan in September 2005. However disaster struck in only his fifth game, when he broke his leg. It was the second time he had such an injury, the first being whilst playing for Mansfield Town youth team. Given the number 10 shirt at Sincil Bank for the 2006-2007 season, he made his first start in the opening fixture at Notts County, but he was injured in that game. Upon his return to fitness, he found it difficult to get back into the team and he was loaned out to Worksop Town (10 appearances, 2 goals). He left Lincoln City in January 2007 and he went on to join Hednesford Town before Andy Legg bought him back to Hucknall Town in July 2007. Gary Ricketts

Gary Ricketts

Position: Striker

Gary started his career as a youngster at Nottingham Forest before a bad car crash put his footballing on hold for about five years. Upon his recovery he joined Heanor Town in the Central Midlands League, where his prolific scoring earned him a move to Arnold Town. At Gedling Road he continued his strike rate in front of goal, and former Hucknall Town manager John Ramshaw bought him to Watnall Road in February 2001 - to join him up with former Chesterfield Striker Andy Morris. Since his move to Watnall Road, 'Rico' has become a crowd favourite. Gary was a regular in the Town side for the remainder of the 2000-2001 season and 2001-2002 but had a spell away from the club in 2002-2003 when he went to Hinckley United. However, he was back at Watnall Road in time for the 2003-2004 campaign, where he soon started firing in front of goal again. Gary was part of our 2004-2005 FA Trophy Final side, scoring plenty of important goals on the way and forming a deadly partnership with Danny Bacon. Moving away from Watnall Road again during the 2006-2007 season, Gary had a short spell at Nuneaton Borough, but he was soon back 'home'. Injuries blighted his appearances last term, but he is now back fit and raring to go. 2007-2008 Stats:- 4(+3sub)
